One of my favourite ways to gain new ideas and learn techniques from other expert designers is through literature. These inspirational books full of detailed, elaborate designs and new bloom information keep me on my learning journey and expand my knowledge base. Calgary Wedding Flowers | Favourite Outfit

My must have style choices to begin the design process…

Hearing personal comments about my last post has made me giggle. Besides the love of seeing a behind the scenes photograph I did receive a few comments about my “cute” attire. Here are some little tidbits about my favourite outfit:

Apron: Lightly quilted and delicately accented with tiny flowers… it is old, soft to touch and slightly coloured by past blooms. This sweet apron is a must have when I design. It has a little story…. As a young girl this was a home-made Christmas gift from my sweet Aunt Sharon. It reminds me of my childhood and her love and encouragement to follow my dreams. To me, it is PERFECT!

Slippers: Well, it can be a little cool in my design studio. So, my toes do get a touch cold. These Canadian made, soft, wool slippers are a must have as I immerse myself into designing.
